Your questions answered…


How does payment work?

Once your tour request has been confirmed, you’ll receive a registration link to complete. After completing the online registration form you’ll be re-directed to the Cyprus Taste Tours deposit page where you’ll be prompted to pay a non-refundable deposit of €20.00. Regardless of which tour your booking, the deposit amount of  €20.00 is always the same. To pay the €20.00 you’ll have to login to Paypal where you’ll have the option to pay through Paypal or with a credit card.


I don’t have a Paypal account and signing up for one isn’t an option…

If Paypal is not an option for you,  please contact us and we’ll inform you on how to proceed.


How much time in advance is needed in order to book a tour?

Normally we need notice of a tour request no sooner than 48 hours before the requested date however in the event of last minute requests, we will do our best to try and accommodate – so do get in touch!


We would prefer a private tour without additional bookings joining us – is that possible?

Although our tours often combine groups, we are happy to provide a private tour. Just let us know upon the time of booking however please bear in mind that depending on your requirements, there may be an additional cost attached to your booking.


Is all the food included on the tour?

Yes! If your a food tour fan and have done this kind of thing before then you’ll know that food tours can vary greatly. All of our food tours include all the food you’ll be trying and there should be no need to spend any extra cash during your time with us.


What’s the cancellation policy?

Unfortunately, the €20.00 deposit is non-refundable. However, if you would like to rearrange your tour for another date and/or time or switch to a different tour or experience that better suits your schedule then we’ll try our very best to accommodate you.


What times are food tours offered?

Most of our tours can start at a time that suits you and your schedule – just let us know your preferred time when you send us a tour request.


Where do we meet for the food tour?

Transport is  included in our day tours and with these tours we’ll meet you outside your hotel or specified location. If you have not requested transport for a walking tour then you will have to make your own way to the tour meeting point. These are always somewhere in the center of town at a well known landmark or place that’s easy to find. Click here to see our meeting points. Once you’ve booked your food tour you’ll receive a confirmation email with the exact details and a map of the location.


Does the tour start and finish at the same location?

our walking tours are likely to end at a different location than the meeting point but again it will be a well known spot and probably not more than a 5-10min walk from where we started. You’ll have the option to go off in your own direction or have your guides accompany you back to the starting point. If you are taking part in a day tour, you can specify a different drop-off point if required.


How much walking is involved?

During our city walking tours we’ll walk an approximate total of 3km / 2miles. This will be broken up by restaurant visits where you’ll be able to sit down and relax!


I’m vegetarian, can I take part?

Yes, every restaurant we visit will have vegetarian options. If your group are the only participants and you are all vegetarian then we can definitely arrange a delicious full veggie food tour! If it turns out that there are others also booked on the tour, unfortunately it’s unlikely the entire group will be vegetarian so you might have to miss out on some of the dishes. Please specify if you’re vegetarian on your registration form so we can have it in mind!


I don’t drink alcohol, what will be offered instead?

Many of our participants don’t drink alcohol or just prefer a non-alcoholic option. Just specify this on your registration form and we’ll arrange non-alcoholic traditional Cypriot drinks for you to try!


What if I have allergies or things I’m not allowed to eat?

Unfortunately, unlike some other countries, you won’t find restaurants in Cyprus offering gluten-free options or soy alternatives on their menus. The places we’ll be visiting are truly authentic and will cook recipes in the traditional way. If you’re not sure about ingredients included in a dish being ordered, you can ask your guide and they’ll be able to fill you in so foods that don’t suit your diet can be avoided. Also, if you have a food allergy or intolerance, please specify the details in the notes section of the registration form so we can be prepared and do our best to work around it!


How much food will we eat on the tour?

If you’re taking part in a snack tour or a half day wine tour then you’ll enjoy some light bites but probably won’t be full at the end.

If you’re taking part in any other tour then the answer is – Lots! We’ll be eating something at each stop and by the end of it you should feel comfortably full. We recommend you arrive hungry and avoid snacking before the tour. Also, we trust that you know how much food you can handle and will have the will power to pace yourself over the duration of the tour. With all the delicious food on offer, no doubt it’ll be a challenge… Good luck!


Do you offer hotel pick-up?

Yes! We can organise transport for any of our tours if it isn’t already included. Even if you’re in another town than the location you want to tour – just contact us with details and we’ll let you know what can be arranged. If transport is not included in your tour then there will be an additional cost.


What if it rains on the day I’ve booked?

Food tours will take place in most weather including rain! Just make sure you dress appropriately and don’t worry about umbrellas – we’ll provide those. Luckily, Cyprus has great weather and it only rains approximately 40days a year. A tour will only be cancelled if there have been severe weather warnings to ensure the safety of participants. In these cases, we’ll give as much notice as possible and an alternative tour date will be offered or customers can ask for a full refund. 


What language will my tour guide be speaking?

Tours take place in English but our tour guides speak Greek and Italian. If you would like a tour in another language, please contact us and we’ll see what we can arrange!


Can I bring my child/children?

Children are welcome on our food & wine tours! However, if you’re taking part in a city tour, please keep in mind that there is walking involved and if you’re taking part in a dinner tour then it is likely to finish between 10 and 11pm. We trust parents to decide whether the tour will be suitable for their child/children.


What if I am a sole traveller/booking alone – can I book a tour?

Unfortunately, we only run tours for two or more person. However the good news is that we will contact you should we receive another booking request for the dates that you are available and then you can join us!


Can I be put on a waiting list if the date I’d like is fully booked or unavailable?

If you aren’t able to make any other date/tour and would really like to take part then please send us your contact details, the number of people hoping to attend and the tour & date you’d like and we’ll let you know should any spots become available.
